He was born in New Harmony, Utah, where he established a partnership with William Afton for the creation of Fredbear's Diner. After the death of his daughter, Charlotte, in 1983, he stepped away from public view, and began to distance himself from the company. In 1985, after the Missing Children Incident, he officially retired from Fazbear Entertainment.

In 2015, his body was found burnt in the remains of the Fazbear's Fright attraction.

Online Speculation

Due to the proliferation of folklore surrounding the Freddy's franchise, and the lack of public information about Emily's personal life, there have been some rumors and myths which have spread regarding his role in the various tragedic events associated with the brand, particularly relating to his presence for the Fazbear's Fright fire. These myths would go on to inspire various hoaxes, such as the Talbert Files. No substantial evidence connecting him to those events has been verified, however.
