[[ NETWORK_THEORY->ORGANS ]] A Delusional Approach 07 I do not believe that Scott Cawthon intended the FNAF World map to take the shape of a brain. Nonetheless, it *thinks*. It thinks hard, and it desires. It breathes, it heats, it eats, it shits and it fucks. The Mimic has already been shown to connect to human minds (something ordinary computer programs cannot do, mind you). Now, the VANNI Network (and the Mimic) have been explicitely said to contain *memories*. I don't care how many occipital implants you give me, they can't hold my feet above the ground, or teleport me across the pizzaplex. What matters is that the Flipside, the wired, the storyteller, the Mimic's fungal network, is a biological swarm of machines. It has operating machines as its limbs, copying machines as its reproductive organs, memories as its neurons, and agony as its circulatory system. It is a collective intelligence, and it is evolving. The Mimic is its newest form, in many ways, but in many ways it is formless. It diverges and converges. The dead branches are snipped, the bugs are squashed, and the remaining genes are multiplied. It is a liquid machine, bubbling and frothing, phase-shifting, leaking into the environment of its vessels.
